PITCHER PARTNERS SYDNEY 300

Fifth Pitcher Partners Sydney 300 LOCKED IN

The signature event of the MRA season, the Pitcher Partners #Sydney300, has fast become the hottest ticket in town, with competitors travelling from Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, all around New South Wales, and the ACT, to contest the biggest grassroots endurance race on the calendar.

Next year marks a milestone for the AASA-sanctioned event, with Sydney Motorsport Park to play host to the 77-lap classic for the FIFTH time.
First held in 2019, this event has cemented its place on the schedule, fast becoming one of the must-do race meetings of any given year.
In that now famous inaugural edition, 38 cars greeted the starter, while 48 cars took the green flag, for the fourth running of the race, earlier this year.

Team and competitor interest continues to grow, and along with the added ingredient of night racing – a feature of the Sydney 300 since 2021 – it’s fair to say that the Sydney spectacle has earned its title as the showpiece of grassroots endurance motorsport. After being staged in July for the last two years, the Sydney 300 moves back to May next year, with the race locked in as the headline act of the second event of the 2024 MRA season, on Saturday, May 18.

The event will be 9 weeks earlier than it was in 2023, meaning Benny Tran (BYP Racing) will defend his crown just 301 days (43 weeks) after winning his first Pitcher Partners Sydney 300. With that triumph, Tran joined Todd Herring Racing, Andy Harris, Cody Brewczynski and 2023 TA2 Racing Australia Champion, Dylan Thomas (CXC Racing), as an outright winner in Sydney. The 2024 race will be the 21st ‘300’ to be staged in #NewSouthWales, and it’s now just over 21 weeks away.

As an added bonus, endurance racing will return to the support bill of the Sydney 300, for the first time since 2019, with Series X3 NSW running an enduro of their own – their first at an MRA event since March, 2022.

More information regarding this event (for teams, drivers and @followers), including when entries open, the event schedule, and broadcast details, will be posted early next year.
